Private Estates
Our five Private Estates are the most desirable country houses in Chianti.
Restored farmhouses, ancient towers, wine estates and charming manors set in rambling, sun-dappled grounds – we have sought out the region’s most sensational private estates to rent. Each is beautifully designed, with heated pools and outdoor kitchens, and state-of-the-art features – including, variously, yoga salas, gyms, games rooms, tennis courts, and wine cellars. Gardens and grounds are glorious, and at every turn, soul-stirring views of Chianti’s gentle hills and vineyards.
When you take over one of our Private Estates, you’re not just getting the keys to your own secret corner of Tuscany – you’re getting the full A&K Chianti Experience.
Wine tastings and cookery classes come to you; chefs cook the most delicious Tuscan dinners; breakfast is served every day; the fridge is stocked with wine and local specialities.
Our 24-hour wraparound service is tailored to suit you, whether you want a full staff, chef, and driver, or prefer to be left to your own devices – giving you all the advantages of a hotel, but with the freedom, privacy and space of a private house. Your A&K host can arrange whatever you wish, whether that’s pulling out all the stops for a party, bagging you a table at the hottest restaurant in Chianti, or arranging show-stopping experiences that you will never forget.

The Location
The wine region of Chianti is the most quintessentially Tuscan part of Tuscany. Stretching languidly between Florence and Siena, its gentle green hills are threaded with rows of vines and studded with cypress and olive and umbrella pine, and crowned with medieval castles and hilltop villages where the winding stone streets are home to tasting rooms, superb restaurants and chic boutiques. Mornings and evenings cast the landscape in mellow gold light; after grape harvest, Fall paints it fiery yellow and russet red. Come for the wine – so pleasing that it became a holy grail for collectors (after trying out the Chianti Classico DOC, super Tuscans are the ones to look for). Or come for the food, or the culture, or for country walks and bike rides immersed in the sheer beauty of this exquisite enclave of Italy.
