Insurance
Choosing your travel insurance
We cannot emphasise enough the importance of arranging comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking your trip or, at the latest prior to travel. We recommend getting travel insurance that matches the value of your booking and keeps you covered for any unexpected situations — like trip cancellations or changes, medical expenses (including evacuation or repatriation), lost baggage, personal liability, travel documents, and even serious emergencies. Choosing the right coverage for your plans will give you peace of mind from the moment you book until the end of your trip.
Do Abercrombie & Kent UK sell travel insurance?
No, we are not regulated to do so. Abercrombie & Kent UK work with our trusted partner, Campbell Irvine, who offer a comprehensive travel insurance policy. Their cover includes up to £10,000,000 in medical expenses, optional cancellation cover up to £50,000 per person (age limits apply), and insurance for pre-existing medical conditions. Of course, there’s no obligation to take out a policy with Campbell Irvine — they’re an independent provider and not affiliated with the Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group Ltd. Since everyone’s insurance needs are unique, we recommend speaking with a Campbell Irvine advisor to find the policy that works best for you.
How do you get in touch with them?
To obtain a quotation, you can visit the Campbell Irvine website or call on 020 7938 1734. Terms and conditions will apply.
Passports and Visas
It is your responsibility to ensure that everyone travelling on your booking is in possession of a full and valid passport for your chosen destination. Most countries require that your passport remains valid for at least six months beyond your departure date from that country. Before making a booking, we advise you to check advice issued by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office on your preferred destination by accessing their website or by calling the Foreign Office Travel Advice Unit on 0845 850 2829. Advice can change so always check regularly for the latest updates. Please also ensure you make yourself familiar with the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office advice on staying safe and healthy on your trip.
Additionally, it is your responsibility to obtain any necessary visas for entry or transit through the countries on your itinerary. Visa requirements may vary based on nationality, so if your group includes individuals with different citizenships, please ensure to check the requirements for each person.
To help make the process as smooth as possible, we’ve partnered with Visa Central (CIBT) — one of the most trusted and experienced visa specialists out there. We recommend them because they offer excellent service, competitive rates, and a handy online order tracking system. If you’d like to learn more about Visa Central or download your visa form, you can get started here.
Travel Health
We advise you to visit your health professional at least four to six weeks before your trip to check whether you need any vaccinations or other preventive measures. Country specific information and advice is published by the National Travel Health Network and Centre on the TravelHealthPro website and by NHS (Scotland) on the fitfortravel website.
