A&K Sanctuary Riverboats
If Agatha Christie took a Nile voyage today, we like to think she would do it aboard one of our A&K Sanctuary riverboats – consistently voted the best on the river, from boutique cruisers to a handsome six-suite dahabiya.
Our four small, chic boats are worthy successors to the elegant vessels of another century. Waistcoated waiters mix martinis in the bar; in the smart dining room, fantastic lunches and dinners are prepared by accomplished chefs. On the top deck, parasols and daybeds are arranged around a small pool. Our boats even have a spa and small gym. Daytimes are spent exploring Egypt’s extraordinary open-air museum along the banks of the Nile, led by our brilliant guides and eminent Egyptologists.
The A&K Sanctuary team’s wealth of experience and expertise operating on the Egyptian Nile now extends to the Peruvian Amazon, with the launch in 2025 of the state-of-the-art Pure Amazon, opening up a whole new realm of mystery and magnificence.
A&K Philanthropy
A commitment to conservation and responsible tourism is in A&K Sanctuary’s DNA. When we opened our first camp in Kenya's Masai Mara in 1999, we pledged to make a positive impact on the areas in which we operate and to nurture enduring collaborative relationships with the communities that live in those places. As we’ve grown, we’ve continued to honour and extend that commitment.
