Abercrombie & Kent is committed to protecting the privacy and security of the personal information we maintain. We recently experienced an incident that may affect the privacy of certain individuals’ information. We are providing notice of the incident so that potentially affected individuals may take steps to protect their information, should they feel it appropriate to do so.

This notice explains what happened, the personal information that may have been accessed, and the steps we have taken to address the incident. Additionally, it outlines the support available to you and guidance on what you can do to protect your personal information.

What Happened
On November 30, 2023, Abercrombie & Kent detected unusual activity on our network. We immediately engaged specialist cyber security experts, who worked with us to investigate the incident, swiftly contain the intrusion, and securely restore our services.

What We Are Doing
The security and privacy of the information contained within our systems is a top priority for us. Upon discovering the incident, Abercrombie & Kent took immediate steps to secure our systems and engaged third-party forensic experts to assist in the investigation. This investigation included careful analysis of the affected data to establish as quickly as reasonably possible any impact on individuals. Further, we are implementing additional cybersecurity safeguards, enhancing our employee cybersecurity training, and improving our cybersecurity policies, procedures, and protocols to help minimize the likelihood of this type of incident occurring again. We also proactively informed law enforcement and the relevant regulatory authorities about the incident.

We are deeply sorry that this incident occurred. We would like to reassure our valued guests and employees that we will continue to do everything we can to make sure support is available for anyone who has been impacted.

What Information Was Involved
We have no evidence that any information has been misused as a direct result of this incident. Our investigations established that an unauthorized actor accessed our systems. The personal information that may have been involved varies by individual, including first and last name and one or more of the following: address, date of birth, email address, passport number, telephone number, Social security number, financial and/or banking information, and medical information.

How Will Individuals Know If They Are Affected By This Incident?
We have no evidence that any information has been misused as a direct result of this incident. However, out of an abundance of caution, Abercrombie & Kent is providing notice to individuals, commencing on December 5, 2024, whose information was believed to be impacted in accordance with applicable state and federal laws and to the extent we have valid mailing addresses.
