Get to Know Our A&K Sanctuary Family
Jackson Keiwua, General Manager
Born and raised in Narok County, Kenya, Jackson came to A&K Sanctuary 16 years ago as a sous-chef. It soon became clear that his talents extended far beyond the kitchen, however, and when Tambarare Camp opened in 2022, he was appointed Camp Manager and subsequently General Manager. His love of the place deepens with every passing season – he speaks of it as his second home.
Beatrice Arabang, Acting General Manager
Having joined A&K Sanctuary in 2006 as a spa therapist at Chobe Chilwero Lodge, our property on the edge of Botswana’s Chobe National Park, Beatrice eventually found herself overseeing the management of all of A&K Sanctuary’s spas in Botswana. She was subsequently appointed Relief Lodge Manager and is currently Acting General Manager at Baines' Camp.
Emmanuel Pareso, Camp Manager
A member of the A&K Sanctuary family for more than a decade, Arusha-born Emmanuel joined us first at Swala Camp, in northern Tanzania, before being appointed General Manager of Kichakani Mobile Camp, in the Serengeti. So he is used to being in the perfect place for spotting some of the world’s most remarkable animals – as is once again the case at the newly relaunched Gorilla Forest Lodge, where he has been appointed manager.
Joseph Mshana, Head Guide
Though deeply attached to his native Tanzania – born and bred in Kilimanjaro, and having worked with A&K Sanctuary for more than 16 years, four of them as General Manager at Ngorongoro Crater Camp – Joseph has crossed the border into neighbouring Kenya to take up his new role as Head Guide at Olonana Lodge. Like his favourite animal, the giraffe, he is a distinctive, wise and heartwarming presence around the lodge and in the field.

A commitment to conservation and responsible tourism is in A&K Sanctuary’s DNA. When we opened our first camp in Kenya's Masai Mara in 1999, we pledged to make a positive impact on the areas in which we operate and to nurture enduring collaborative relationships with the communities that live in those places. As we’ve grown, we’ve continued to honour and extend that commitment.
